This weekend, Dawson Creek RCMP made an arrest in nearly two year-old suspicious death investigation.
On February 16th of 2017, Dawson Creek RCMP and the North District Major Crimes Unit began the investigation in to the death of 55 year-old Troy Streeper in Pouce Coupe.
On December 7th of this year, police charged Jessie Romero Fougere with manslaughter relating to the case and issued a warrant for his arrest.
The next day, police determined Fougere to be located in a Charlie Lake residence and contained the area around the home with assistance from Fort St John RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team.
After extensive negotiation attempts, Emergency Response Team members entered the residence and arrested Fougere.
Fougere made his initial appearance in court the following day, and is scheduled for his second appearance tomorrow morning.
