Dawson Creek RCMP reminding residents to be careful after similar break and enters

The Dawson Creek RCMP are investigating several break and enters that share similar circumstances.

A home was broken into on December 28th in the 1500 block of 94th Avenue and several firearms stolen.

Another home was broken into early this morning in the 300 block and 96th Avenue, and again several firearms were stolen.

Both of the homes have alley access to the properties, and the same targeted items were stolen.

The Dawson Creek RCMP are reminding residents to make sure their items are marked, so they can be returned to their rightful owners if recovered.

The police are also reminding people to take extra precautions in securing their firearms.

As well, they’re also reminding residents to ensure there’s nothing lying around the house that might help a thief; like ladders, hammers, and other tools.

If you see anything suspicious in your neighbourhood, contact the police.

If anyone has any information regarding these nreak ins, please contact the Dawson Creek RCMP or at Crime Stoppers.
