Dease Lake RCMP searching for missing traveler from Alaska

The family of a missing American is now offering a reward as Dease Lake RCMP continue their search.

Police say 70-year-old Anthony Adevai’s vehicle was found abandoned on Highway 37 near Kinaskan Lake on Tuesday.

Adevai was traveling home to Alaska from Oregon when his family last spoke to him on Sunday when he was in Cache Creek.

Adevai’s family says he suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and progressing dementia and was supposed to home for a medical appointment Thursday.

Mounties say Adevai has grey hair, a beard, and wears glasses.

On Friday, the family announced they’re offering a $10,000 US reward for his safe return.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dease Lake RCMP.
