The DFO will be opening a portion of the Lower Stikine for commercial salmon fishing for a 24 hour stretch tomorrow.
Effective at noon tomorrow and running through to noon Sunday, the stretch of the Lower Stikine River between the Canada and US border upstream to the Porcupine River, as well as a portion of the Iskut River, will be open for limited commercial coho salmon fishing.
The fishery will target coho gill net fishing and will allow nets between 100 and 204 millimetres up to a 60 mesh depth.
