RCMP are asking for help as they continue to search for a 15-year-old who went missing in northeast BC nearly two weeks ago.
Corporal Dave Tyreman says Denny Poole and another 15-year-old were attempting to walk from Dawson Creek to Fort St. John March 12th.
The pair went their separate ways at approximately 7:30 and Denny was last seen on the south side of the Kiskatinaw River Bridge.
At about 7:52, the second youth called 9-1-1 to report a suspicious occurrence. Tyreman says that a passerby with a South Asian accent stopped to check on the youth and spoke to the RCMP dispatcher on the teen’s phone.
Tyreman says the other teen is safe and back home. Investigators want to hear from the caller or anyone who may have seen the boys. He’s also urging residents in the area to check their property.
An RCMP helicopter joined search and rescue efforts to find Denny Poole Sunday, but found no trace of the teen.
RCMP say they do not suspect foul play in the disappearance.
