RCMP dealt with two drowning’s at Harrison Lake this past weekend.
Harrison lake is located 95 kilometers east of downtown Vancouver.
RCMP received a report of three individuals in distress at the lake around 6 pm on Sunday night.
While witnesses were able to pull one of the individuals to safety the two other men aged 16 & 24 drowned.
They were last seen 20 meters from the shore. Police and Kent Harrison Search and Rescue also made attempts to rescue the two men but were unsuccessful.
The two deaths are not considered suspicious. An RCMP spokesperson reminds people to swim within their limits and use caution in the water.
