Some northwest BC residents felt the earth move this morning.
Earthquakes Canada is reporting a magnitude 6.1 earthquake was recorded south of Haida Gwaii this morning shortly before 7 a.m.
Officials say preliminary measurements show the shaker happened approximately 167 kilometres southeast of the village of Queen Charlotte.
CFNR has had calls from people who felt the quake on Haida Gwaii and the BC North Coast.
There are no reports of damage and no risk of tsunami.
