Edmonton man killed in South Cariboo plane crash

The BC Coroners Service has identified the person killed in a small plane crash Thursday in the South Cariboo.

Officials say 42-year-old Jonathan Lindsay Blair of Edmonton was the passenger in a Piper Cherokee Arrow that went down near 70 Mile House.

The plane crashed into a wooded area as the pilot attempted to land at a private grass airstrip near Green Lake just before noon.

The pilot was airlifted to hospital with injuries.

The RCMP and Transportation Safety Board are continuing to investigate.
