After months of closed discussions with numerous groups, the government is now looking for public input on their Environmental Assessment process.
Numerous changes to the process have already been summarized in a discussion paper following months of engagement with First Nations groups, environmental organizations, local governments, and more.
The new Environmental Assessment process is focused on: enhancing public confidence, collaboration with First Nations, advancing reconciliation, and, of course, protecting the environment while offering clear pathways to sustainable project approvals.
Public consultations begin today and run through until July 30th.
