A famed environmental pioneer has now joined the long list of Americans speaking out against the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion.
Bill McKibbon, author of over a dozen books on climate change and global warning, including the first for public consumption, visited the province this weekend to inspire protestors against the project.
McKibbon says this project has drawn the attention of the world and could lay the groundwork for how these disputes are handled in the future.
He says that the final decision will not only have an impact on the climate, but on Native Sovereignty world wide.
