Evacuation alerts issued for Nadina Lake and Verdun areas

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has issued two new evacuation alerts due to wildfires in the area.

The first alert is the result of a 280 hectare wildfire and covers the east end of Nadina Lake and includes the Nadina Lake Lodge, Nadina River Spawning Channel, and Nadina Lake Recreation Site.

A 2 hectare wildfire near Oosta Lake has also prompted an alert for the area east of Keefes Landing Road to Eakin Settlement Road, and south to Spud Lake Road is also under an alert.

Residents should prepare for possible evacuation, while continuing to monitor local news feeds and and the RDBN website by following this link.
