Evacuation near 100 Mile House


The Cariboo Regional District is in the process of extending the Evacuation Order to include the west side of Lac la Hache.

The Cariboo Region District has put out an evacuation Order as a wildfire 1200 hectares in size is active just west of 100 Mile House.

All properties in the 108 Mile and 105 Mile areas west of Highway 97 are being evacuated, along with properties in the vicinity of Lilypad Lake are now under alert.

A fire located near the Gustafsen North Forest Service Road is still growing. Smoke caused by the fire is making it difficult to estimate its actual size.

100 Mile Fire Department is on scene tending to the blaze. there are 120 Firefighters on scene along with air support and heavy equipment.

Emergency crews are flanking the fire from 1100 Road to Helena Lake Road.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
