This is the 10th annual Stewart Bear Arts Festival held August 7th-9th.
This community festival includes a public market, a photo contest for all ages, a photo workshop, children activities including remote control car races, a car show, a wildlife hiking tour, a silent auction and much more!
The purpose of this event is to raise the level of bear awareness for locals and visitors to the community. The money raised from this event has been used to purchase bear proof garbage dumpsters.
Friday night: There will be a chili cook-off, beer gardens and music by CFNR’s very own Steve Little in the Pavillion downtown.
Saturday: Stewart Historical Society Pancake Breakfast starting @ 8am, RC Races starting @ 11am, public market, silent auction, kids games, bingo, food, car show & rubber ducky race. Also professional & amateur contest photos will be displayed at the local museum from 9am to 5pm.
Sunday: 5k walk/ run/ bike, guided nature trail hike, watercolor painting course & church service.
