On June 21st, Kermode Friendship Society will commemorate National Aboriginal Day, a celebration of Aboriginal Culture, success, growth and development. This year’s theme is “Celebrating All Nations”. Everyone is invited to join us at George Little Park in Terrace for a Fathers Day Breakfast, Aboriginal dance groups, face painting, fishpond, delicious food, tug of war, NWCC Trades Trailer, guest speakers and more. The DzelKant Friendship House of Smithers invites you to come on down outside their office for National Aboriginal Day on June 22nd between 12pm and 4pm There will be fun stuff happening like the Fred George Memorial Moose Calling Contest and the Joanne Peters Memorial Soap Berry Whipping Contest! There will also be cultural dancing and Safeway will be providing burgers and refreshments.
Your invited to the 17th Annual National Aboriginal Day in Prince Prince Rupert! With weather permitting the event will take place at the Waterfront in beautiful Prince Rupert but in the event of rain the festivities will be moved to the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre from 12pm to 8pm Featured Headliner is Honey Brown hailing from Haida Gwaii there will be cultural dancers, traditional food, family activities and more!
