As of 3:15 this afternoon, RCMP have officially lifted the exclusion zone that had been in place on the Morice West Service Forest Road.
In place since Monday, the zone was set up as police in the area enforced an injunction at the Unist’ot’en Healing Centre near the Morice River Bridge.
Drivers may now access the road freely.
RCMP will continue to patrol the area in accordance with an agreement reached with Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs yesterday evening.
Drivers are reminded that this is a remote service road and that conditions on the road are not ideal.
