Family and friends continue to hold out hope for the safe return of Cindy Martin.
The 50-year-old New Hazelton woman has been missing for a week. The vehicle she was last seen driving was found locked near the Hagwilget Bridge.
Cindy’s eldest sister Faye Martin says search and rescue crews found no trace of her during a search of the area Christmas day, but efforts to find her continue.
Martin says she hopes her sister is safe, warm, and in good company.
Cindy Martin is described as an Indigenous female with brown eyes, black shoulder-length hair, standing 5’3″ tall and weighing 135 pounds.
She was last seen wearing a grey jacket and dark pants.
