Father pleas for return of stolen matching coin that was buried with his young son

Fort St. John resident, Sam Grenon had his wallet and laptop stolen from his truck on Monday night.

While Grenon has written off getting his laptop and wallet back, there’s one special item he wants back, no questions asked, and no charges pressed.

Grenon’s young son died suddenly a few months ago.

When his son passed away, Grenon had a set of matching coins made.

One coin was buried with his son, and the other coin he carried with him in his wallet.

The coin is silver; on one side of the coin is the word “Love,” on the other is a heart with a Celtic knot engraved inside.

Grenon and the Fort St. John RCMP are requesting that if you come across this coin to turn it in at the Fort St. John Visitor Centre which is located in the Pomeroy Sports Centre.

No questions will be asked, and the coin will then be returned to Grenon.

  1. Praying that your beautiful mementos will be returned and so sorry for the loss of your baby boy.

  2. I pray that this coin is located and given back to it’s rightful owner …….

Back in 1986 my Best Friend gave me a braclet (not much value) – she purchased when she was on her exchange student program – she was in Switzerland. I carried this braclet with me — always — one night I left in my car and than thieves broke into my car — they took the braclet — I was and still am devastated.

PLEASE if you find this coin — return to this man.
