The federal government has announced funding that will help improve a couple of northwest BC Airports.
The Masset Municipal Airport is receiving over $157,000 to upgrade airside lighting, install wildlife fencing, and a buy a friction tester which reads runway conditions and advises pilots of what to expect.
The Northwest Regional Airport in Terrace-Kitimat is getting over $3.6 million to rehabilitate the pavement on Runway 15-33.
Funding comes from Transport Canada’s Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).
