Northwest Regional Airport Manager, Carman Hendry, suspects the changes will only be temporary as WestJet expands its Encore service eastward.
Hendry believes WestJet will restore those flights once they gets more planes.
While flight and passenger numbers at the airport have been decreasing, Hendry says overall the numbers are better than expected.
Both WestJet and Air Canada recently cut direct service to Calgary from Terrace.
