The MMM group began the parking study last fall and also did public consultations to gather feedback.
Recommendations include better parking enforcement and better signage so drivers know how long they have to use the parking spot.
Mayor Carol Leclerc says the city will also looking redefining the time limits for short term and long term parking.
Leclerc says while there’s ample parking, you may not always get the spot you want.
The study found over 5,000 parking spaces in the downtown area, with just over a thousand belonging to the city.
