Fire danger ratings remain high in northwest for Canada Day long weekend

While temperate weather and rain has the fire danger rating dropping across most of the province heading in to the long weekend, the northwest has no such luck.

With Canada Day festivities set to take over the weekend, most of BC is enjoying a very low fire rating, while the northwest is blanketed in moderate to high risk areas.

There are no campfire bans in the province at the moment, but the Cariboo, Coastal, Kamloops, and Southeast fire stations are still looking at open burn restrictions.
