The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has expanded the evacuation alert for the West Babine River Fire northwest of Babine Lake.
The evacuation alert is in effect for an area south of Hanawald Lake to 3 km North of Nilkitkwa Lake. West of Nilkitkwa Forest Service Road to 8 km West of the Shelagyote and Babine River confluence.
The alert area includes Babine River Corridor Park.
