First Nations and the mining industry in the Northwest have joined forces with the provincial government to bring their stories to the world.
The newly formed BC Regional Mining Alliance will see the Tahltan Central Government and the Nisga’a Lisims Government join forces with the Association for Mineral Exploration, Dolly Varden Silver Corp., Skeena Resources Ltd. and GT Gold Corp, along with the provincial government in a historice collaboration.
The Alliance will help facilitate infrastructure improvements in the region, as well as spread stories of their recent successes in the industry with the rest of the world.
Energy Minister Michelle Mungall says the collaboration reaffirms the government’s commitment to building a new generation of relationships and partnerships with First Nations communities.
