The BC River Forecast Centre has upgraded a High Streamflow Advisory to a Flood Watch for two rivers in the central interior.
Officials say the warm temperatures have increased snowmelt feeding the Nautley River near Fort Fraser and the Nechako River at Vanderhoof.
With the hot weather expected to continue for the next five days, the Nautley River is expected to peek sometime late next week.
Forecasters also expect the Stellako River and Francois Lake to see a rise of 5-10 cm over the weekend.
A Flood Watch has also been continued for the Bulkley River near Smithers and Quick.
Residents are advised to stay clear of streams and rivers during the spring runoff period.
