Heavy rain across parts of the Northwest and South Peace have pushed rivers and streams to the point of potential flooding.
The BC River Forecast Centre has issued a flood watch for the Skeena River and tributaries, including the Bulkley River.
Areas of the Pine Pass, Mackenzie, and Chetwynd are also now under a flood watch.
Forecasters have also now issued a high streamflow advisory for other rivers across the Northwest, including the Nass and Iskut as well as tributaries around Kispiox, Meziadin Junction, and Bob Quinn Lake.
A high streamflow advisory means river levels are rising and that minor flooding is possible.
A flood watch means river levels are rising and will approach or may exceed their banks resulting in possible flooding of adjacent areas.
