Former health officer appointed to patient quality board

Northern Health’s former chief medical health officer has been appointed to the Northern Patient Care Quality Review Board.

A news release issued by the provincial government says Dr. David Bowering, who lives in Terrace, brings a wealth of clinical and regional knowledge to his role as physician member of the board. Bowering has spent virtually his entire career in the Northern region.

Patient Care Quality Review Boards were brought in by the provincial government in 2008 to address patient care quality complaints.

Dr. Bowering takes the role left by Doctor Jack Chritchley, who was temporarily holding the position.
