Police say a former resident of New Hazelton is facing charges following an unprovoked attack on a 16-year-old boy in Prince George.
RCMP say they first got the call around 10:30 a.m. Friday of an assault happening in the Massey And Griffiths area.
Police arrived to find the 16-year-old victim and learned that he was assaulted for no apparent reason. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of a broken nose and other non-life threatening injuries.
Mounties found the suspect a short distance away, but fled on foot once he was spotted.
The suspect was then arrested in the parking lot of a near-by high school.
Officers say 29-year-old Moses Clifford Johnson is facing charges of aggravated assault and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Johnson recently moved to the city from New Hazelton and remains in custody.
