A teacher who once taught in the northwest has been reprimanded by the provincial regulatory body.
The Teacher Regulation Branch has reprimanded Keray Allen Wing after they were made aware of complaints against him.
The branch combined two complaints into one case.
The first goes back to the early 1970s when Wing had a sexual relationship with a 15-year old female student.
The details of the second complaint weren’t made clear, but were filed under Section 38 of the Teachers Act which deals with physical, sexual or emotional harm to students.
According to a media report profiling Wing’s retirement in 2012 as a principal in the Saanich School District, Wing was a teacher and principal for 14 years in Terrace and north of Hazelton.
In addition to the reprimand, Wing agrees to never apply for teaching credentials again.
