Fort St. John bank robbery

Fort St. John police are reporting a bank robbery that took place last Friday.

At 12:21pm police in the city were notified of the robbery, and were told by witnesses that a lone man entered the bank and demanded money from a teller.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

While no weapon was produced, the suspect did indicate he did have one.

Officers were able to view the surveillance video footage of the robbery and were able to identify the suspect in the video.

The 69 year old suspect is well known to police, and was located at his last known residence.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court sometime today.
