Gitwinksihlkw is getting support from Terrace in hopes to move forward with a tourism enhancement project.
The project will see a welcome house built to provide a space for bathrooms, drinks, and food as well as upgrading and connecting their trail systems.
Gitwinksihlkw CEO Phyllis Adams says it’s been an uphill battle as they try to secure funding from various agencies.
Adams says this is also a chance to show off their culture.
Council gave support noting a thriving northwest B.C. means a thriving Terrace.
The goal of the letter of support is to show agencies that it will be worth their while to chip-in on funding for the project.
