A gold mine is reopening just outside of Quesnel.
The province says Barkerville Gold Mines Limited is set to restart operations at its Bonanza Ledge Mine after getting the proper permits.
Provincial officials say the mine will create 90 jobs along with spin-off opportunities.
The mine is able to produce 150-thousand tonnes per year.
BGM estimates its operations at the Bonanza Ledge Underground Mine will produce approximately 54,000 ounces of gold over the mine’s initial three year life.
The operation east of Quesnel used to run as an open pit back in 2014.
