The Provincial Government is making it easier for parents in their early twenties to access childcare.
A new program, titled the Young Parent Program, will see the monthly subsidy amount available to young parents increased to 15 hundred per month per child.
The program will be open to parents in the province who are under the age of 24 and had their child before their 20th birthday.
It is the hope of the program that this new change will allow parents to finish school and give them a chance to build a stronger start for their family.
The program is being made possible thanks to an additional 3 million dollars invested by the province over the next three years, on top of the 1.6 million in existing annual funding.
