Transport Canada is calling for proposals from Indigenous and local communities for projects which support local involvement in the Ocean’s Protection Plan.
As part of the newly established Indigenous Local Communities Engagement and Partnership Program, the government is seeking projects which encourage on-going participation in marine safety.
Communities can apply for up to three years of funding on projects that support relationship building and long-term local engagement, enable Indigenous communities to take on larger roles, advance discussions on environmental protection, or improve collaborative agreements.
Those wishing to apply can find a full guide by following this link.
Applications will be accepted until February 20th of next year.
