16 projects in BC are set to benefit from 500 thousand dollars in provincial funding aimed at promoting greater accessibility for those with disabilities.
Funded by the Disability Alliance of BC, the grant program targeted projects which focus on employment, community connection, emergency planning, arts and culture, and education.
In the north, the Prince George Brain Injured Group will receive funding to help those with brain injuries and other disabilities better prepare for emergencies such as wildfires and floods.
All 16 projects are set to be completed by February of 2020.
