There are now five candidates vying to be the MP for the Skeena-Bulkley Valley riding.
Prince Rupert resident Jeannie Parnell is running for the Green Party of Canada.
Parnell, a member of the Stellat’en First Nation, has worked in the health advocacy and community development fields.
She says she plans to focus on social and economic issues such as poverty, healthy living, and education.
Also running in Skeena Bulkley Valley are the NDP’s Nathan Cullen, Tyler Nesbitt of the Conservatives, Brad Layton of the Liberals, and Don Spratt of the Christian Heritage Party.
