Haida Gwaii will be hosting its first ever federal all candidates debate.
The South Island debate will take place on October 1, with the North Island one on October 2.
Sandspit residents will also have an extra evening sailing from BC Ferries to help get them home.
Laurie Wiedeman is the CAO for the Village of Queen Charlotte, and she hopes the debates will get people talking about the election, and issues specific to Haida Gwaii.
She says high school students are also getting involved by helping people register to vote.
All the federal parties with candidates for the Skeena-Bulkley Valley riding will be represented, except for Conservative candidate Tyler Nesbitt, who declined due to a previous engagement.
There have been numerous media reports that Conservative candidates have been instructed not to participate in all candidate debates.
