Haisla Nation Council raises money for youth to play organized sports

The Haisla Nation Council hosted their fifth annual charity golf tournament to support their Amateur Sports Fund.

Organizers say 130 golfers participated to help raise funds for Haisla youth to play in organized sports.

The event took place at the Morgan Creek Golf Course in Surrey a few weeks back.

Nearly 100 individuals took part in last year’s tournament with teams receiving thousands of dollars to participate in activities.

No word yet on how much was raised during this year’s tournament.
