Incumbent Alice Maitland has lost her bid to return as mayor of Hazelton.
Challenger Dennis Sterritt picked up 76 votes compared to Maitland’s 45.
Hazelton council will be a split between new and returning members.
Incumbents Buddy Smith and Wendy Blackstock will see another term while newcomers Jody Tetreau and Julie Maitland will have a chance to make their mark.
