Tl’etinqox First Nations and Alexis Creek RCMP are moving past disagreements from last summer.
The two are joining together today for a healing circle to begin to move past the threats ushered from both parties during last year’s stressful wildfire season.
The threats stemmed from an evacuation order issued during last summers wildfires, which the Tl’etinqox Nation refused.
Threats were then put forth by Alexis Creek RCMP, which were countered by the Nations’ Chief Joe Alphonse.
The two sides hope to move past the incident and begin to regain each others’ trust.
