The Ministry of Transportation says Highway 16 west of Prince George is now reopened to traffic.
The route was shut down last night after a collision between a logging truck and two passenger vehicles approximately 15 km west of the city near the Beaverly area.
Traffic was backed up throughout the night and congestion was heavy when the route was finally reopened.
Few details about the crash are available, but at least one person was taken to hospital with serious injuries and two others received non life-threatening injuries.
RCMP are investigating. It is the second closure of Highway 16 west of Prince George after an earlier fatal collision shortly before 1 p.m. at the Chilako River Bridge Thursday.
