Highway 97 north of Prince George was closed down for a few hours Monday.
The transportation ministry says a collision south Bear Lake was the cause, although no details have been released.
North District RCMP says recent snowfall and winter conditions have made highways in and around the Prince George area slippery.
Motorists are advised to use extra caution or postpone any unnecessary travel.
