RCMP says a driver is under investigation for being impaired after a fatal crash in the Smithers area Monday night.
Mounties say two vehicles crashed shortly after 9 p.m. along a remote stretch of Babine Lake Road about 25 km from Smithers.
Emergency crews found the driver of one of the vehicle dead at the scene. Police arrested the driver of the second vehicle.
Investigators say the accused was treated in hospital and then transferred back to police while the probe continues.
No other details, including the identity of the deceased driver, have been released.
RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating.
