The BC Wildfire Service is assuring Quesnel residents that increased smoke in the region is not from local fires.
Officials say the smoky conditions Friday are not from the Baezaeko Wildire Complex 85 km west of Quesnel, but rather from various fires located northwest of the city.
The wildfire service say the smoke has rolled in from increased fire activity outside the Cariboo Fire Centre.
