Metlakatla is looking for the public’s feedback on their proposed elders village in Prince Rupert.
The village will be located at the former King Edward School property on 7th Avenue East.
It will include 32 affordable apartments and 10 units of housing for seniors wanting to downsize.
Metlakatla’s Shaun Thomas says it’s a chance to give their elders a quality place to live.
Thomas say they’re hoping seniors can start to move in by next spring.
Thomas says funding for the project will be coming from the province.
The information session will be held on May 15th at the Lester Centre of the Arts.
Staff will be on hand to provide background and answer any questions.
