Grant funding is now available for smaller communities seeking better internet.
As of July 1st, local governments, internet service providers, and community organizations may begin applying for fresh grant funding to bring high speed internet to rural and Indigenous communities.
Northern Development Initiative Trust will review the applications for the Connecting BC program, which could see approved projects received up to 50 percent of costs in funding.
16 million dollars total is available on a first-come first-serve basis as part of 123 million total invested by the Province in bringing better internet to remote BC communities.
