Kitimat RCMP are reminding people to careful with winter road conditions.
The detachment says police have responded to 13 collisions this month, five of them on Highway 37 and the others within the community.
The latest incident saw an RCMP vehicle crash into a hydro pole late Sunday evening.
Investigators say the Chevy Tahoe slid off Lahakas Boulevard while on routine patrol shortly before midnight.
The officer was treated for minor injuries and released, but the vehicle suffered heavy front-end damage.
The roads were slushy and and it was snowing at the time of the crash.
With the snow pack increasing in Kitimat, RCMP are asking drivers to use extra caution when exiting side streets and driveways.
