Kermode Friendship Society starts driving school for people who need extra help

The Kermode Friendship Society will soon offer driving lessons.

Executive Director Cal Albright says students in the program will have one teacher work with them one-on-one.

Albright says people will use a pickup truck instead of a car. They believe this will make drivers more prepared for the road.

He says students in the program can get their licence up to 6 months faster than those who don’t take training classes.

While the program isn’t free, Albright says they will help people look for financial assistance.

Albright is encouraging anyone who wants to take part in the program to contact the Kermode Friendship Society.
