Two residents of Kitamaat Village are lucky to be alive after a house fire early this morning.
The fire broke out around midnight and burned the house to the ground. One person in the Haisla band office told CFNR News the house is gone.
A man and his son were able to escape; and fortunately, his wife and another child were out of town at the time. The family members are being taken care of by relatives.
