The District of Kitimat has lifted a boil water advisory.
Officials say two consecutive test results from municipal water samples confirmed no total coliform or E.coli contamination.
The advisory was issued Sunday, October 11th after a deluge of rain caused extremely high levels on the Kitimat River and increased turbidity in the community water supply.
The district increased chlorination levels during the boil water advisory and crews also flushed the water system to help remove the cloudy water.
Officials say the water flushing could also cause the water to be discoloured, but it is safe to drink.
The District of Kitimat has apologized for any inconvenience.
