Kitimat workers will be in a legal strike position just before noon tomorrow.
Negotiations are on-going between the district and Unifor Local 2300.
Kitimat Mayor Phil Germuth says the district has already given it’s best offer.
He says their latest offer meets many of the union’s demands, but wages is the major stumbling block.
Germuth says mayor and council are committed to holding property tax increases to 3%.
But meeting Unifor’s demands would require a 12% increase.
